Baganda is the tribe found in central part of Uganda in the districts including Kampala, Masaka, Mukono, Kayunga, Gomba, Bukomansimbi, Sembabule, Kyotera, Rwengo, Rakai, Wakiso, Mpigi, Mubende, Mityana, etc.



           FOOD

Baganda usually use their traditional plants as their feedings eg Bananas, Cassava, Yarms, Maize, Beans, G. Nuts, Piseas, Rice, Sweet and Irish Potatoes etc.


         HOW THEY COOK

Things that is needed while cooking baganda traditional food.

1) Well trained Muganda woman.

2) Entamu (sorcepan).

3) Ebyaayi (banana fibers).


                   Esanjja & Endaggala

4) Ekibbo (basket).

5) Endaggala (Banana plant leaves).

6) Abalongo ( 4 pieces of banana).

NB. These things are commonly used to cook banana (Emiwombo)

According to Maama Teddy, the well trained Muganda woman from Kayunga village, Kigangazi S/County in Bukomansimbi district told us that during holidays (x- mass days), they get time and collect things mentioned above plus others so that they cook their traditional food.


She also continued to telling that baganda also use these items to cook their beloved vegetables; ie  Pork meat, G nuts, Beans, Pies, Fish, Mukene etc.
