Bebe Cool seeks data loss compensation from telecommunication service in Uganda

Moses Ssali, also known as Bebe Cool, has taken his frustration to social media this evening and revealed his intention to sue a telecom company after they failed to provide a data usage report to him in person.

The singer painfully explained that he purchased monthly 22GB mobile data worth 50.000 Ugandan shillings on the night of 16th January, which he claims didn’t even take more than two hours before it completely got used up.

In the letter posted on Bebe Cool’s social media pages, he states how events unveiled that night after his data purchase.

He says that he bought the data and opened tiktok for not more than five minutes, which he strongly believes did not wallop more than 300mbs.

Immediately after that, I put my phone on charge as I had a business online meeting in preparation. I was surprised to receive an alert that I was left with only 5649MBs, indicating that I had used over 17GB, yet my phone was on charge.” expressed Bebe Cool.

Bebe Cool demands an explanation from the telecom company on how this happened, Ugx 100M for all the inconveniences and another Ugx 100M to cover his travel compensations for that night as he failed to hold his online meeting due to data depletion and had to fly to Lagos for a physical one.

The Telecom Company is yet to provide a statement, and neither has the Uganda Communications Commission.

Regardless of their silence, Bebe Cool has offered them a grace period of 3 weeks upon receiving the letter to have his complaints worked upon, or he threatens to go to the Courts of Law.
