The Inspectorate Department, led by CP Nakyagaba Sarah, has concluded a comprehensive inspection exercise in Kigezi and Rwizi regions. The team assessed the quality of services provided by police officers to the community, sanitation standards at police stations, and the condition of suspects in police cells.
The inspection also evaluated the working conditions of police officers, including access to essential tools, water, electricity, and functional fleets. The exercise covered 10 districts, including Rukiga, Kabale, Kisoro, Rubanda, Kanungu, Rukungiri, Ntungamo, Rwampara, Mbarara South, and Mbarara CPS.
The inspection aims to ensure that police stations are equipped to provide effective services, maintain high sanitation standards, and uphold the welfare of suspects in custody. The findings will inform measures to enhance police operations and improve service delivery to the community.
